A map for navigating the requirements of the new Aged Care Act

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission has developed a Sector Readiness Plan to assist the aged care sector in preparing for the upcoming Aged Care Act.

This plan outlines a schedule for releasing various resources aimed at supporting providers, workers, and stakeholders during the transition. The plan includes a timeline for releasing resources on topics such as strengthened Quality Standards, infection prevention and control, financial and prudential standards, complaints handling, food, nutrition, and dining, provider registration, and worker regulation. These resources will be disseminated through various formats, including updated guidance materials, e-learning modules, webinars, videos, and conversation cards.

The Commission will regularly update the plan with additional resources as they become available.
