What is the role of benchmarking data in good clinical governance? In this webinar, Lachlan Rudd - Head of Data and Insights and Steve Bickford - Program and Events Lead at Health Roundtable, will discuss the role of risk-adjusted benchmarking and how it works, examples of where data has been used to improve clinical governance, how to make data accessible to clinicians and evidence to make the case for improvement.

Lachlan Rudd is Health Roundtable, in partnership with Beamtree's, Head of Data and Insights. The role centres on delivering against the Beamtree’s strategic objectives in the analytics domain, building analytics capability, and developing advanced analytics products. Formerly a senior executive at NSW Health, he led the data and analytics components of the digitisation of the State’s health system, including establishing a state-wide data lake and related data governance model. Lachlan has brought multiple artificial intelligence and machine learning-enabled products to market.
 
Previous roles include Product Owner at Quantium, creating ML products for multinational clients, and Analyst at CSIRO, developing stochastic models for the behavioural economics unit. Lachlan's career began in finance, culminating in his role as Director of GPR Asia in Beijing, facilitating cross-border investments into mining and infrastructure projects. He holds Bachelor of Business (Finance and Mandarin Language) and Master of Mathematics (Applied Statistics) degrees from Queensland University of Technology.

Steve Bickford

Steve is an experienced Health Manager with over 30 years in public and private healthcare sectors across a variety of roles. Steve practised as a radiographer before moving into the leadership role of Director of Medical Imaging across 10 Imaging facilities.

The subsequent role of Divisional Director for Critical Care and Perioperative Services in a large regional Health Service included accountabilities for Emergency Care, Intensive Care, Surgical and Perioperative, Medical Imaging and Allied Health services.

Steve holds Bachelor’s and Master’s qualifications from the Queensland University of Technology.
Commencing work for the Health Roundtable in 2017, Steve is the Program Lead for the Imaging, Surgical Journey, and Allied Health Programs, and is the Health Roundtable Lead for Events.
